Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tutoring in GCSE English and Maths subjects
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience
  • Experience working with GCSE students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
  • Organisational skills and ability to manage student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Additional training in special education needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time temporary position
  • Work hours may vary based on student availability
  • Home-based teaching with the possibility of online tutoring

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
