Education and Training

£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Provide tailored tutoring sessions to Looked After Children (LAC) in GCSE English and Maths
  • Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials
  • Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with social workers and guardians to support students' educational needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS check

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Previous experience working with Looked After Children or in a similar educational setting

  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in working with vulnerable or disadvantaged youth
  • Additional certifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
