Are you an adaptable and motivated teacher looking for a flexible working opportunity in secondary education? We are seeking enthusiastic General Cover Teachers to work across secondary schools in Rawtenstall, providing high-quality classroom support on a day-to-day or short-term basis. This is an ideal role for qualified teachers who enjoy variety in their work and want the flexibility to choose their availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity in students’ learning in the absence of their regular teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments, maintaining professionalism and building rapport with both staff and students.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring the smooth running of each lesson.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, ensuring they stay on task and engage with their work.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • A flexible and positive approach to working in different schools and settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive and reliable attitude, with a passion for supporting students’ education.
