Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and will play a key role in the development and well-being of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students to enhance their learning.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
  • Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensure they have access to the curriculum.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the class teacher and school as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of all students.
  • Basic IT skills for supporting learning and administrative tasks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
