Are you an inspiring and passionate General Science Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Our secondary school in the Wirral is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our vibrant science department.

As a General Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). You will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and promote a love for science. You will be expected to contribute to the wider school community and participate in extra-curricular activities.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress regularly.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment where students are motivated to reach their full potential.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
  • Support students in preparing for their GCSE examinations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Experienced in teaching General Science at secondary level, with knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Passionate about science and committed to inspiring young minds.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
