We are seeking passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants who want to make a difference to children’s education and development.

  • Hours: Full-time 8:30am – 15:30pm
  • Pay: £12.90 - £15
  • EYFS/KS1/KS2
  • Location:  Burnley, Lancashire

Responsibilities:

  • Have a nurturing and calm approach in order to build relationships with children.
  • Communicate with families/carers to provide feedback about children.
  • Provide support to all children, including those with additional needs.
  • Deliver small intervention groups and Phonics sessions.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enhance children’s learning.
  • Assist with classroom management and use good behaviour management strategies.
  • Help to create a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS, KS1 or KS1 curriculum.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Excellent Safeguarding knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
