Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Chorley

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: October

A secondary school in Chorley, with easily accessible transport links, are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with pupils displaying SEMH. This is a full-time role commencing in October.

The successful applicant will be supporting class sizes of up to 26 pupils and you will be liaising directly with the class teachers and SENDCo. This school is Ofsted graded ‘good’ and feedback from previous employees is very positive, especially feedback for support provided by the Senior Leadership Team.

As a Teaching Assistant you would be expected to:

  • Supporting class sizes of up to 26 pupils
  • Liaise directly with the class teachers and SENDCo
  • Monitor and track the progress of individual pupils
  • Support pupils with SEND and SEMH
  • Support pupils on a 1-1 and small group basis
  • Provide intervention sessions, especially English, Maths and Science
  • Enrol on to CPD courses to enhance your knowledge as a Teaching Assistant
