Geography Teacher Expiring soon

You will be teaching Geography at a school that prides itself on preparing children for their lifelong journey ahead. The area this school serves has its own challenges, with many children from disadvantaged families and a high level of deprivation. Your students are coming to school for a safe space and have an abundance of pastoral care available to them and their families. Here, they are empowered and motivated, they feel like their voices are heard.  

Academy leaders have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years, and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students embark on a journey covering content and developing skills through engaging and practical activities. They will experience a fluid movement throughout KS3.

This secondary school is based in Coventry and is recruiting a permanent Geography Teacher (QTS). You will be teaching Geography to KS3 to pupils and inspiring pupils to exceed their target grades. The successful candidate will need to be able to after Easter

Salary: Main page scale depending on experience 

Plus an additional £3000 Recruitment and Retention payment over 3 years for the right candidate
 
To be successful in your application, you should; 
 
• Hold a relevant Teaching qualification 
• Have knowledge of teaching Geography
• Be able and willing to travel to the Coventry area 
• Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach
