Are you a professional and approachable teacher who is passionate about Geography?

Location: Coventry

 

Job Specification:

  • Bachelors degree in Geography or similar humanities subject
  • PGCE and or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons to secondary school students which follow the national curriculum
  • Provide whole class, 1:1 and small group support to enable students to progress successfully in their development and attainment
  • Regularly assess student progress through class work marking, written and verbal assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment so every individual feels confident to participate
  • Work closely alongside fellow colleagues within the Geography department to develop and enhance the Geography curriculum
  • Effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and raise any concerns necessary
  • Stay updated with the latest teaching methods, educational resources, and technological advancements
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities
