Role Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Stockport. The successful candidate will have a passion for Geography and a commitment to inspiring and engaging students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Use innovative teaching methods to foster a love for Geography and encourage critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
