Contract Type: Full-time (Fixed-term with potential for extension)
Eligibility: Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Job Description:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to secondary school students.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans catering to diverse learning styles.
  • Inspire students to develop a passion for Geography and curiosity about the world.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
