Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging geography lessons to students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of geography.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and whole school meetings, training, and events.
  • Support students' academic and personal development through tutoring and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching geography at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the geography curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
  • A passion for geography and the ability to inspire students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
