Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partner secondary schools who are looking to welcome a new Teacher of Geography from September 2024

A fantastic school which offers a brilliant support network for both newly qualified and established teacher, the school is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Milton Keynes, Coventry and Northampton. Accessible via public transport to applicants who do not drive and a large staff parking area on site.

Equipped with state of the art facilities, you will be encouraged to deliver exciting and inspiring lessons to pupils who are eager to learn. Educating across KS3 and KS4 including A Level

 The Geography department at the school are a committed and supportive team, comprising of experienced teachers, ECTs and non-specialists. The Geography Department believe that all students are entitled to a challenging, academic and enjoyable experience of Geography. There are also opportunities for collaboration with schools within the same Trust to share expertise and support the development of Geography teaching.

The successful Geography Teacher will be appointed on a  full-time basis to start in September teaching Geography to KS3/4 with the possibility of KS5.

Key Responsibilities

● To develop a curiosity, excitement, and passion for Geography within Key stages 3 and 4.

● To contribute to raising standards of student attainment and build a culture of excellence in all classes.

● To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Form Tutor

● To provide a learning experience which gives the students the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

● To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support the Geography curriculum area as appropriate.

● To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant subject
  • PGCE or QTS accepted only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
