Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, using a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school standards.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and strategies.
  • Support the school's commitment to extracurricular activities by contributing to Geography-related clubs, field trips, and events.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Expectations:

  • Hold a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
