Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting for a qualified Geography teacher for a long-term maternity cover position available in a lovely school based in the Treorchy area. This is a maternity cover beginning in October and running for the majority of the academic year and potentially into the next should the member of staff not return. Interviews are being held over the next 2 weeks.

Requirements of a Geography Teacher:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status
• Have PGCE or equivalent in Secondary Geography
• Enhanced DBS available on the update service
• Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
• Two school-based references if applicable

Duties & Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:

• Pre-plan and prepare work in line with national curriculum
• Teach Geography up to KS5 & A-Level
• Manage challenging behaviours in lessons
• Work within part of a team of faculty staff
