Job Title: Geography Teacher

Hours: Full Time

Location: Mainstream Secondary School in Warwickshire (B46)

 

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Geography teacher to work in one of our amazing partner schools. The OFSTED rated "outstanding" school works closely with the team at Teaching Personnel Birmingham on a regular basis. You will be responsible for teaching Geography to KS3 and KS4 to various year groups and abilities, with the aim of raising attainment levels and engagement with GCSE and A-Levels.

TEACHING PERSONNEL WILL PAY TO SCALE ON ALL FULL TIME FULLY QUALIFIED TEACHER ROLES (please note: day-to-day bookings, pay will vary)

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in Geography or a humanities subject
  • Experience teaching Geography within secondary schools
  • Abiity to teach multiple disciplines across the humanities department is ideal but not compulsory
  • NQT/ECT accepted
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Enhanced Child only DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)

 

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver exciting Geography lessons which engage learners of all abilities and cater to the individual needs within each class
  • Monitor progress through forms of assessment and track individual progress
  • Offer constructive and informative feedback to help pupils thrive in their learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department and the wider school community to ensure the school is a safe and positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and confidently
  • Ensure safeguarding principles are at the centre of all of your practice within the school
  • Have knowledge of children with SEN and ensure their learning and development is equally planned for
