Graduate Learning Mentor

Are you a recent graduate looking to work in a school setting as a graduate learning mentor? 

Teaching personnel are looking to recruit graduates of any social science degree to provide pastoral support within a primary school.

You will be supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs SEN and you will be working both 1:1 and on a group basis.

The schools are looking for a confident, driven individual with a passion for supporting pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

About the role:

-          Supporting the class teacher

-          Helping diffuse challenging behaviour within the classroom

-          Encouraging engagement

-          Assist with the development of individual educational and behavioural plans, helping students achieve their academic goals

-          Building positive relationships with the children

About you:

-          Hold a relevant degree

-          Experience working with children or young people

-          Nurturing, compassionate nature

-          Ability to build strong working relationships

-          Have excellent communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
