Graduate SEN Teachers Wanted – Make a Difference 

 

Teaching Personnel in partnership with specialist schools in and around the Preston and Blackpool area are looking to hire both Primary and Secondary trained fully qualified teachers to further support their pupils. The roles offer both full-time and part-time positions to suit your needs. The provisions we work with cater for children with additional needs and SEMH needs. This is something you must have experience with and be passionate about. 

Your role as a specialist teacher will include both promoting the educational development of your pupils but also, promoting their holistic development, well-being, and behaviour management. The pupils in your class will all have an EHC plan and require additional support in many aspects of their development. As the class teacher you will need to be able to ensure all the needs of your pupils are being met during your teaching, there will be members of support staff within the classroom who will be able to assist you with the supporting of the well-being of the pupils in the classroom. As the class teacher you will need to keep the members of support staff included in all planning daily and ensure they are aware of any changes of routine.

 

Requirements:

  • Full-qualified teacher status.
  • Able to get to Preston, Bamber Bridge, Blackpool. 
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or worked within a specialist provision before.
  • Be able to differentiate your planning and teaching to meet the needs of your pupils.
  • Work well as a team and be able to put the needs and well-being of others before your own.
  • Be flexible and adaptable for different work environments.

Key Information:

  • Working hours 8:30am – 3:30 pm.
  • Competitive rate of pay £90 -£110 per day.
  • Have QTS.
  • Start date ASAP.
  • PAYE Contract.

Your Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Encourage literacy, communication, and a love for English through creative teaching strategies.
  • Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes confidence and self-esteem.
  • Build strong relationships with students and their families to support their individual learning journeys.
