Join our team of dedicated SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistants at Teaching Personnel, where you’ll have the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings and kickstart your career in education!

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in SEN and SEMH schools across Chorley, Leyland Preston and Blackpool. Teaching Personnel work with a variety of provisions including EYFS, primary and secondary ages. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience, develop your skills, and decide if a career in teaching is right for you.

Your duties:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, both in whole-class settings and in small groups.
  • Providing one-on-one assistance to students who need extra support, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Assisting with classroom management, creating a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Encouraging and motivating students, acting as a positive role model within the school community.

Requirements to work with Teaching Personnel:

  • A recent university graduate with a passion for education and working with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks in different school environments.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is a plus, but not essential.
