Position: Support Staff Member

Location: Manchester Area, Secondary School

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Support Staff Member to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and supporting students in their academic and personal development. As a Graduate Support Staff Member, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to provide assistance to students, both in and out of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include supporting individual students or small groups, helping with lesson preparation, and contributing to the overall positive learning environment of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide academic support to students in various subjects
  2. Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities
  3. Support students with special educational needs or behavioral challenges
  4. Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the overall well-being of students

Qualifications:

  • A degree from an accredited university
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Passion for education and supporting student success
