Role Overview: As a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning across various subjects within the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students aged 11-16, providing support in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and more.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help with their academic work, helping to reinforce key concepts, improve study skills, and boost confidence.
  • Collaborating with teachers to create and adapt educational resources and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all learners have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Supporting students with their coursework, homework assignments, and exam preparation, helping to track their progress and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Contributing to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral support initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject, with a strong academic background and a passion for education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to work across different subject areas and support students in various aspects of their learning.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
  • Enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
