Exciting opportunity to support young people in need of extra support due to additional learning and behavioural needs.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant.
  • ASAP start date (Other roles also available for later start dates in April and September).
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis who have a variety of additional learning needs
  • Earn up to £1700 per month, dependent on experience.
  • Average sized secondary school in Salford.

With over 900 pupils, the school needs extra staff to guarantee identified students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.

Working as a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to incorporate inventions to aid the student’s learning and behaviour with the hopes of raising their progress and attainment. You will be assisting students on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from the classroom. All work will be pre-set by the class teacher. They will also be some work involved which requires you to cover lessons in the absence of a teacher.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience of working with individuals who have learning or behavioural needs as these skills will be highly transferrable or have personal experience supporting young people. You must also be educated to degree level or be in your final year of university.

Our client school is based in Salford and can be accessed via the M62, M66, A580 and A56 from surrounding areas for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to areas such as Prestwich, Crumpsall, Urmston, Bolton and Swinton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
