Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students and teaching staff across a range of subjects, playing an essential role in helping students achieve their academic potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Working closely with students who need additional support, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help them overcome barriers to learning
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those requiring extra academic guidance
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and contributing to a positive and productive learning environment
  • Assisting with marking and providing feedback to students under the supervision of teaching staff
  • Supporting extra-curricular activities, including after-school clubs, homework sessions, or school trips
  • Encouraging students' engagement with their studies and acting as a role model within the school

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any subject (e.g., English, Maths, Humanities, Science, Social Sciences)
  • A passion for education and supporting young people in their learning
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate secondary school students
  • A proactive, positive, and patient approach to helping students of varying abilities
  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential
