Teaching Personnel currently have multiple opportunities for recent graduates to start their career within education by joining our client schools across Manchester as Teaching Assistants.

The positions we currently have available are full-time.

The salary for this role will be between £1500 and £1800 per month.

If you are aspiring to become a fully qualified teacher, this is an ideal opportunity for you to gain classroom experience which will support you throughout your career development. You will be able to work closely with teachers with many opportunities for observation. There will also be opportunities to be placed onto further training programmes to assist you in your career development.

In order to be successful for this position, there are a few steps that you must take during the registration process. These include:

  1. You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check.
  2. Once this check has been completed, you will also be required to place this onto the update service.
  3. You will also be required to complete an online safeguarding course.
  4. You must also provide at least two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your employment history.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the pupils who are struggling the most throughout school. You will be responsible for ensuring that the pupils remain focussed throughout their lessons. You should also apply your own knowledge to answer any questions that they may have regarding their lessons. You will work within small groups of pupils to ensure that these pupils are gaining the correct amount of support, if you do notice anything concerning it will be your responsibility to report this to the teacher or other members of staff.
