About the Programme

Our Graduate Teacher Training Programme in Bournemouth is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and practical experience. During the first year, you will work full-time in a supportive school environment as a Cover Supervisor, gaining hands-on experience. In the second year, you will progress to Initial Teacher Training (ITT), working towards your PGCE qualification, while remaining in the same school or trust.

Programme Details

  • Year 1: Classroom Experience as a Cover Supervisor

    • Full-time commitment, working 5 days a week
    • Assist teachers, support students, and lead classroom activities
    • Develop classroom management skills and instructional strategies
  • Year 2: Initial Teacher Training (ITT)

    • Continue working in the same school/trust while undertaking formal teacher training
    • Work towards achieving your PGCE qualification
    • Receive mentorship and support from experienced educators

Qualifications:

  • A degree in any subject (preferably with a 2:1 or higher)
