Are you a recent Psychology Graduate?

Are you looking to specialise into child psychology and want to gain some experience?

Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting psychology graduates to provide individualized 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in Wokingham. The school caters to students aged 11-19, all of whom have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and face learning challenges or delays. Their needs vary, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism.

The school's curriculum is designed to be flexible and creativity-driven, offering students diverse learning experiences that play an integral role in their educational journey. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teaching staff with lesson delivery.
  • Leading small group sessions.
  • Providing 1:1 support for students requiring extra help.
  • Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to teaching staff.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Experience with SEN, whether in schools, personal situations, the care sector, or through community engagement.
  • A passion for education and supporting vulnerable young people.
  • A current, clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
  • A positive, adaptable, and versatile mindset.
  • A full, valid UK driving license.
  • A desire to help young people lead fulfilling lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
