Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are recruiting for a vibrant and supportive residential school in Grateley, committed to providing exceptional care and education to young people with SEN.

As an SEN Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people with a range of special needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. You will support their daily routines, promote independence, and foster a positive and nurturing environment both in the residential setting and during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with daily living activities, personal care, and social integration
  • Work closely with educational staff to provide consistent care across school and residential settings
  • Build trusting relationships with children, providing emotional support and encouragement
  • Assist in developing care plans and recording progress
  • Participate in recreational activities and outings, fostering an inclusive and active environment

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential – full training provided)
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not required)
  • A supportive and friendly working environment
