Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary English Teacher (Head of Department) based in the Farnborough Area. This role will require the applicant to teach all elements of English including marking and planning sessions for the young people.  This role will also include strategic oversight of this area of curriculum. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge in all areas, good classroom management and a positive approach to teaching and building relationships. The school will require a degree or equivalent and qualified teacher status for this role. The school are particularly interested in a candidate that has knowledge of phonics.

The school is a mixed MLD Secondary school which caters for 4- to 16-year-olds however, this role will focus on KS4. 

This will be a full-time permanent role.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a strong leader and team player who demonstrates high expectations of the student’s achievement and behaviour.
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment.
  • Be confident and adaptable to different environments.
  • Have strong classroom management skills.
  • Be able to deliver lessons in a fun and engaging way that students can relate.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of child safeguarding and ability to respond to such concerns effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • SEND Experience
  • Leadership Experience.
  • Evidence on on-going CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
