Are you an inspiring History teacher ready to lead a department? A highly-regarded secondary school in Basingstoke is looking for an experienced and motivated Head of History to join their team, starting in November 2024.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: November 2024
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Teaching Levels: Key Stage 3 & 4
  • Additional Responsibilities: TLR 2c

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the History department, guiding the curriculum and mentoring colleagues
  • Engage and inspire students across different age and attainment levels
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment, promoting a passion for History
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the subject

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Proven experience teaching History at secondary level
  • Strong leadership qualities and a vision for department growth
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student achievement
