A highly reputable independent SEN school in Windsor is seeking an exceptional KS3/4 English Lead Teacher to join their dedicated and dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the KS3/4 English curriculum, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all students.
  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that cater to varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help each student achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and discipline, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Stay abreast of the latest educational trends and SEN best practices, integrating them into the teaching approach.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and experience in adapting teaching methods to support diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in curriculum development and team collaboration.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and committed to promoting the welfare and well-being of all students.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love of learning and academic excellence.

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications or training in SEN education.
  • Experience in leading or coordinating a subject department.
