We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Humanities to join our brilliant secondary school in Daventry. As the Head of Humanities, you will be responsible for overseeing the humanities department and leading the development of appropriate syllabuses.

A medium sized secondary school, with an Ofsted ‘Good’ rating are now looking to appoint a new member of their team as Head of Humanities starting September 2024.

Easily accessible via surrounding areas such as Northampton, Coventry, Towcester and Rugby but also communicable via public transport.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and lead the humanities department
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning within the department
  • Provide leadership and support to humanities staff
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department

The ideal candidate will have the following

  • QTS
  • Degree in geography / History or similar field
  • Experience working as head of department
