As the Head of MFL, you will oversee the delivery of French and Spanish across KS3-5, driving forward high standards and progression for all students. You’ll lead a dedicated team, utilising well-resourced facilities and ensuring students continue to achieve outstanding GCSE results.

Responsibilities of Head of MFL:

• Lead the MFL department, overseeing the delivery of French and Spanish from KS3 to KS5.
• Inspire and motivate students to excel in their language studies, achieving exceptional results at GCSE and A-Level.
• Mentor and support your team of MFL teachers, promoting best practices in language teaching.
• Plan and implement strategies to continuously raise the department's performance and meet the high academic standards of the school.
• Work closely with SLT to ensure curriculum development and delivery are aligned with the school’s vision.

Requirements of Head of MFL:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3-5.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
• A commitment to driving excellence and pushing students to reach their full potential.
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an MFL department is advantageous.
