As the Head of Music, you will play a key role in leading and shaping the musical journey of students, while also providing pastoral support as a Head of Year. This dual role requires a balance of musical expertise and strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a vibrant music curriculum that caters to a diverse range of abilities and interests, while also overseeing the academic and personal progress of a year group.

Requirements:
• A degree in Music or a related subject, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching music at Secondary level, with a proven track record of achieving positive student outcomes.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in a pastoral or head of year role being advantageous.
• A passion for music education and a commitment to promoting the arts within a school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Lead and manage the music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
• Develop and deliver an inspiring curriculum that encourages students to achieve their full musical potential.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary.
• Foster a love of music across the school, engaging students in a variety of musical genres and activities.
