Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce are currently partnered with a UK wide SEN Trust, who are actively seeking Head of School to join their campus located in Hertfordshire from September 2024. We are looking for passionate and ambitious individuals who can work alongside the existing leaders to create a safe and encouraging environment for their students to learn and flourish. To be accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the School, as well as the financial performance and management of education and support staff. To achieve in this role you will be someone who inspires creativity and collaboration, a strong leader and a passionate advocate for your students, finding ways to deliver educational outcomes that make a real difference to them. 

 

Key Duties:

  • To be an active part of the Leadership team.
  • To train, mentor and assist teachers and support staff with their pedagogy, teaching, and behaviour management to ensure they meet expected outcomes.
  • To manage the Programme of Studies in your school.
  • To ensure the school always remains compliant against the Independent School Standards.
  • Contribute to a positive ethos for learning.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience of line management or leadership (Head of Department, SLT experience, Headteacher etc.)
  • A degree in your chosen subject and QTS, QTLS or an overseas equivalent.
  • A proven track record of raising attainment.
  • A proven track record of compliance against policy, process, and standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
