Role and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and comprehensive Health and Social Care lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering a deep understanding of the subject.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the department to develop and enhance the Health and Social Care curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
  • Assessment: Prepare, administer, and mark assignments, exams, and coursework, providing timely feedback to support student progress.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor students, supporting their academic and personal development, and inspiring a passion for health and social care professions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enrich the educational experience and opportunities for our students.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • A passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the wellbeing and progress of young people.
