What will be your role within the classroom?

• Working closely with parents and reporting back on pupils' progress
• Preparing the classroom, ready for the school day
• Working with children on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups
• Providing personal care
• Observing children's behaviour

I am looking for resilient and caring Health Care Assistants who are looking to make a transition to become an SEN TA. If successful you will be working within an Ofsted Outstanding situated in the borough of Hackney. They are a secondary school with approximately 120 students that focuses on supporting children with varying needs such as MLD, SLCN, SpLD and SEMH.

What does MLD mean?

MLD stands for Moderate Learning difficulties. Where children experience difficulty following the national curriculum.

What does SEMH mean?

SEMH stands for social, emotional and mental health. Where children or young adults struggle to manage their emotions or behaviour.

What does SpLD mean?

Children with specific learning difficulties will have trouble with writing, spelling, reading this can be linked with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia.
