Job Title: Health & Social Care Lecturer

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £27,425 - £40,369 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team are currently partnered with a leading FE College in the Cambridgeshire area who we are currently working together with finding an excellent teacher of Health & Social Care, to work with Post 16 students at their Cambridge campus, to start in the new academic year.  We have outstanding teaching and leisure facilities and a reputation for excellence in a number of fields. Our campus facilities are among the best in the country, and you’ll find a modern teaching environment with lots of energy and interaction.

 

Key Duties:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and summer periods.
  • Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes.
  • Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding organisation requirements to promote access to achievement.
  • Provide and maintain teaching materials on the VLE and other online platforms
  • Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area

 

Requirements:

  • A relevant Teaching Qualification would be required for this role (PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Prior experience teaching Health & Social Care up to Level 3, whether in a classroom or in the sector.
  • A relevant degree within the subject (Bachelors minimum ideally).
  • An Assessors Award is desireable for this role, or a willingness to work towards one, however not essential.
  • Knowledge of the Health & Social curriculum.
