About the Role:
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a special school in Dawlish. The school, which boasts an outstanding residential provision, caters for over 200 students aged 3-19. As an HLTA, you will be instrumental in delivering tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality classroom support, including covering lessons when necessary
  • Assist with planning and delivering targeted learning activities for pupils with SEN
  • Work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans
  • Lead small group interventions or 1:1 sessions to support students’ progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting students’ independence and confidence
  • Support students in both educational and social aspects of their school day, including residential care settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
