A highly reputable and large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the permanent staff list of their thriving school in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding education and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning activities
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students
  • Cover classes in the absence of teachers
  • Assist with the assessment of students' progress and provide feedback
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a school environment
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and support students with a range of abilities and needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude

Desirable:

  • Experience in a multicultural and diverse school setting
  • Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN)
  • Experience in delivering intervention programs
