Length: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm.

With instruction from the class teacher you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to the students, this may be to a specific student, groups and sometimes the whole class. You will be assessing and recording the students’ progress and communicating these to the teacher, so good communication skills are highly desired. The candidate will need to be confident when speaking to others as you will be expected to attend staff meetings, liaise with other professionals and parents. The school are looking for somebody creative who can plan exciting, active activities whilst also making them educational, these can be in the based in classroom or outdoors. You will also need to help assist making the classroom fun and colourful by creating subject specific displays to help enhance the students learning. You may also be required to provide specialist support to students with learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory, or physical difficulties. The ability to be a good role model is so important as you will be guiding these students through their education, this will inspire them to achieve throughout their further education.
The ideal candidate will have at least a years HLTA experience and will be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. Organisational and time management skills are very important in this role. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
