A primary school located in Fairfield is seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across the school on a full-time basis. The position is set to commence in October 2024 and is initially offered on a fixed-term basis, with the potential to become permanent if the ideal candidate is found.

This is a one-form entry primary school serving a diverse catchment area. Ofsted has rated the school as ‘GOOD’ in all areas. The school takes pride in its inclusive and engaging curriculum, offering extracurricular activities and experiences to enhance children's learning beyond the classroom environment.

The working hours for this role are 08:40 to 15:40. It is essential that the successful candidate holds HLTA status or possesses a degree qualification, alongside previous experience in delivering lessons across a range of subjects. The role involves working closely with Class Teachers throughout the school to gain a thorough understanding of the individual needs of pupils in each class. Strong behaviour management skills are also vital.
