Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Opportunity in BB4

Are you an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a HLTA to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the teacher
  • Supporting student learning in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons alongside teaching staff
  • Leading interventions to support student progress
  • Promoting a positive and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom and deliver lessons
  • Passion for supporting students’ academic and personal growth
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
