Higher Level Teaching Assistant New

Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full-time (Monday - Friday), Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic HLTA with a strong background in English to join our secondary Alternative Provision based in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent behaviour management skills and a solid understanding of the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students aged 11-16 within an alternative provision setting
• Delivering pre-planned English lessons to small groups and on a one-to-one basis
• Managing challenging behaviours and creating a positive, nurturing environment for learning
• Assisting in students' academic and personal development

What we’re looking for:

• Strong behaviour management strategies and experience working with students who require additional support
• A sound knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3 and KS4
• Ability to motivate and engage students with varied learning needs
• Flexible, resilient, and able to work as part of a supportive team
