HISTORY TEACHER

Are you a qualified History teacher with vast knowledge and experience, ready to take on a fresh challenge?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Coventry to recruit a dedicated History Teacher to join their top performing humanities department!

TEACHING PERSONNEL WILL PAY TO SCALE ON FULLY QUALIFIED TEACHER ROLES!

Qualifications:

  • A degree in History or humanities subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • PGCE/Schools Direct complete
  • We encourage NQTS/ECTs to apply
  • Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience teaching History within secondary schools
  • Ability to teach across humanities department is advantageous

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons following the History national curriculum
  • Ensure that lessons meet the individual needs within each class and can be adapted at short notice
  • Regularly assess pupil progres through marking, written and verbal feedback
  • Effectively collaborate with fellow colleagues within the department to enhance the attainment
  • Effectively communicate with parents/carers to ensure each child is progressing well and getting the support they require
  • Contribute to the wider school community through engagement in extra curricular activities
