About the role

Are you looking to join a good quality secondary school in Liverpool and are dedicated to providing exceptional education and supportive learning environments?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a fully qualified History teacher to join the Humanities Department at a secondary school in Liverpool. The successful candidate would be responsible for providing excellent History lessons to well-behaved students across both KS3 and KS4. This school also supports children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and policies.
  • Assess, record and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development, whilst assisting those with SEN too.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies, resources, and assessments to ensure student progress and achievement. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.

 

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQT).
  • Degree in History.  
  • Enhanced DBS cleared & uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel).
  • Be able to provide two of your most recent references from the last 24 months.
