Job Opportunity: Temporary History Teacher (January 2025 - July 2025)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Clitheroe on a temporary basis from January 2025 to July 2025.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking history lessons to students across various year groups. You will play a key role in fostering a deep understanding of historical events, critical thinking, and a passion for learning about the past.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in discussions, debates, and group work.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and resources.
  • Participate in school activities and events, supporting the broader educational experience of students.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in History.
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to explore history.
