Our client, a well-regarded primary school in Hastings, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to teachers and students in a range of educational settings.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), and tailor interventions to meet individual requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing strategies to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt resources, activities, and lesson plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student well-being and engagement.

Key Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in a HLTA role.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Ability to adapt to varying educational needs and support students with diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Proactive and resilient with a positive attitude towards challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
