About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic school in Scarborough. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the learning experience for students, taking on responsibilities that include leading lessons, supporting the class teacher, and providing targeted interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to support student learning and classroom management.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to both students and teachers.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified HLTA status or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant with the confidence to lead classes.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
