HLTA's required
Teaching Personnel in partnership with SEN and SEMH schools in Preston and surrounding areas are recruiting HLTA's. The schools cater for pupils aged 4-16 with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties along with special educational needs such as Autism. Pupils who attend these schools tend to display challenging behaviours and may display oppositional defiance behaviours. Many pupils have previously had a bad experience within education, therefore, there may be large gaps within their education, and many will have a negative perspective on their education.
In order to combat the negative perception of education the school creates an environment in which pupils may thrive. The school ensures that all pupils have an enriched curriculum including core subjects and more vocational subjects such as sports, motor vehicle, hair dressing and enrichment. The school, which has smaller class sizes than normal, has a dynamic teaching style which the pupils which can engage with.
