Our reputable secondary school in Middleton is seeking a dynamic Humanities Teacher to join our committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

  • Engaging Lessons: Deliver engaging and informative Humanities lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of the Humanities curriculum, ensuring it is relevant and inspiring.
  • Student Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing student behaviour effectively.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and subject knowledge.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and participate in Humanities-related extra-curricular activities and events to enrich the student experience.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A relevant degree in a Humanities subject (History, Geography, Religious Studies, etc.).
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary school level.
  • Passion for Humanities: Enthusiasm for the Humanities and the ability to inspire students with a love for the subjects.
  • Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Professionalism: Commitment to professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
  • DBS Certificate: Must hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
